Key Concepts

  • The Project Manager becomes a facilitator (remember the hen and pig restaurant story –he/she is a pig not a hen)
  • Team communication is effective due to few collocated individuals
  • The Scrum meeting is the heartbeat of the project –bringing responsibility and accountability every 24hours
  • The smallest unit of the project is the Sprint, which yields usable code every 30days
  • The spirit of the Sprint is “no requirement changes are accepted until the end of 30 days”. If the change is very important just wait for the next iteration (new Sprint)
  • The entire project is realized through subsequent incremental development efforts based on the initial Sprint
  • Agile development is not for the fainthearted, you need courage and trust
  • Therefore, you need to take courage and adopt agility in order to reduce the risk of failure of your projects
